释义 | 棄貨 Abbr – Jett In marine insurance law, the act of throwing goods overboard for the safety of a ship, its crew, passengers, and remaining cargo in a time of danger such as a storm or capture. Jettison is treated as a general average sacrifice. If a sacrifice is not necessary, the shipowner is liable to make good the full value jettisoned to the cargo owner: Federal Commerce & Navigation Co Ltd & Ors v Eisenenz GmbH (The Oak Hill) [1975] 1 Lloyd’s Rep 105.
