| 释义 | 監督 The chief officer or head of a tertiary education institute, vested with the authority to confer degrees and other academic awards in the name of the institute. The chancellor holds office by virtue of the founding statute of the institute. Usually, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong SAR shall be the chancellor.
