单词 Last in first out valuation
Abbr – LIFO An accounting method used for assigning costs to trading stock and work in progress of an entity. This method assumes that the items last acquired have been disposed of first and the cost of the items on hand at the end of an accounting period is considered to be the cost of the same number of items first acquired. It is the opposite of the first in the first out (FIFO) method of trading stock valuation. LIFO cannot be used to value trading stock for taxation purposes: Minister of National Revenue v Anaconda American Brass Ltd [1956] AC 85, 1 All ER 20. See also First in first out valuation; Trading stock.
Minister of National Revenue v Anaconda American Brass Ltd [1956] AC 85, 1 All ER 20。另見 First in first out valuation; Trading stock。
