| 释义 | 有限保證條款 A warranty that is restricted in its operation, for example that goods purchased would be free of defects in workmanship and material for one year. As the warranty is collateral to the main purpose of the contract, a breach will give rise to a claim for damages but not to a right to reject the goods or service and treat the contract as repudiated. The seller is liable for such breach only of the warranty or condition as will be enforced by action, or notified to the seller, within the time specified: R W Green Ltd v Cade Bros Farms [1978] 1 Lloyd’s Rep 602.
