| 释义 | 答覆書 In family law, a pleading document filed by the respondent to a petition that is the formal mode of opposing the petition: Matrimonial Causes Rules (Cap 179A) r 18. An answer shall set out with sufficient particularity the facts relied on but not the evidence by which they are to be proved: r 21(1). A party who files the answer shall at the same time, serve a copy with a notice in prescribed form on every opposite party: r 23. If the answer contains counter-charges and a prayer for relief, it is known as ‘answer and cross petition’ and the petitioner who wishes to contest those charges and relief claimed shall file a reply: r 19.
