释义	代理人的留置權 A lien held by an agent on the goods and chattels of the agent’s principal in the agent’s possession in respect of all claims against the principal arising out of the agent’s employment, whether for remuneration earned, or for expenses or liabilities incurred. The agent does not have a right of lien where it is inconsistent with the contract between the parties, or with the special purpose for which the goods or chattels were entrusted: Brando v Barnett (1846) 3 CB 519. The agent’s lien is usually particular, though it may be general: John D Hope & Co & Anor v Glendinning [1911] AC 419 (HL).
