| 释义 | 拘捕／逮捕 The act of arresting any person is reasonably suspected of being about to commit an offence: Criminal Procedure Ordinance (Cap 221) s 101(2). The power of either police or private citizens to apprehend offenders exists at both common law and under legislation: R v Howell [1982] QB 416; Criminal Procedure Ordinance (Cap 221) s 101(2). Police have certain extra powers of apprehension: Police Force Ordinance (Cap 232) s 50; Offences Against the Person Ordinance (Cap 212) s 56.
