释义	名義被告人 A person existing in name only who takes the place of the actual defendant, or a joint defendant not immediately liable in damages but whose presence is required for technical reasons due to his or her connection with the subject matter of the case. The legal advice of a nominal defendant is often used in actions against a defendant who cannot be found where insurance covers the loss.
