| 释义 | 有待同意 A term referring to goods delivered to a buyer for his examination, with no obligation to buy. When goods are delivered to the buyer on approval, the property in the goods passes to the buyer when the buyer signifies his approval or acceptance to the seller or does any other act adopting the transaction; or, if the buyer does not signify his approval or acceptance to the seller but retains the goods without giving notice of rejection, the property passes on the expiration of the time fixed for the return of the goods, or on the expiration of a reasonable time if no time has been fixed: Sale of Goods Ordinance (Cap 26) s 20. What is a reasonable time is a question of fact. It is one of the rules for ascertaining the intention of the parties as to the time at which the property in the goods is to pass to the buyer. Where goods are imported on approval, the importer is not entitled to a refund of any duty paid on the importation: Dutiable Commodities Regulations (Cap 109A) reg 14(3).
