单词 | Duration of transit |
释义 | 運送期 The time from which goods are delivered to a carrier or other bailee, by land or water, for the purpose of transmission to the buyer, until the buyer or the buyer’s agent takes delivery of them from that carrier or other bailee: Sale of Goods Ordinance (Cap 26) s 47(1). If the buyer or the buyer’s agent obtains delivery of the goods before their arrival at the appointed destination, the transit is deemed to be at an end: s 47(2). If the carrier or other bailee acknowledges, after the arrival of the goods at the appointed destination, that the carrier or other bailee holds the goods on the buyer’s behalf, and continues in possession of them as bailee for the buyer or the buyer’s agent, the transit is deemed to be at an end, whether or not a further destination for the goods has been indicated by the buyer: s 47(3). Where the carrier or other bailee wrongfully refuses to deliver the goods to the buyer or the buyer’s agent, the transit is deemed to be at an end: s 47(6).
