| 释义 | 保釋申請 A formal request to a court that an accused or convicted person be released on bail pending the determination of criminal proceedings against the person. The court must hear all arguments of law or fact put before it at the first and second bail applications; the court at the subsequent applications does not have to hear any argument which had been previously put before it: Criminal Procedure Ordinance (Cap 221) s 9G(11). The court may make such enquiries of and concerning the accused as it considers desirable: s 9N.
