释义 | 航空法 The part of international law governing civil aviation and institutions involved in the operation and use of aircraft (excluding hovercraft and military aviation). Air law includes rules of customary and general international law, mainly emanating from bilateral and multilateral treaties on civil aviation. Air law is concerned with issues such as sovereignty over airspace, rules and regulation of aircraft, and criminal activity in airspace such as acts of piracy, violence by crew members, and unlawful seizure. The Convention on International Civil Aviation (Chicago Convention) 1994 provides the existing legal framework. In Hong Kong, civil aviation is governed by the Civil Aviation Ordinance (Cap 448) which vests the power on the Chief Executive in Council to give effect to the Chicago Convention and to regulate air navigation: Civil Aviation Ordinance (Cap 448) s 2A.
