释义 | 進入及搜查的權力 The power of the police to enter and search premises, based on legislation and common law. If any police officer has reason to believe that any person to be arrested has entered into or is in any place the person residing in or in charge of such place shall on demand of that police officer allow him free ingress thereto and afford all reasonable facilities for search therein: Police Force Ordinance (Cap 232) s 50(3). The power to enter and search is also underpinned by common law rules: McLorie v Oxford [1982] 1 QB 1290; Jeffrey v Black [1977] 3 WLR 895, [1978] 1 QB 490, 1 All ER 555 (DC).
