释义 | 目擊證人 A person called by either party to the proceedings who personally observes an event. Most commonly, an eyewitness will be required to testify to his own identification of the person, either as a matter of recognition at the time of the incident or as a matter of identification on a subsequent occasion. In those circumstances, a trial judge may be obliged to give proper direction to a jury concerning visual identification: R v Turnbull [1977] QB 224.
