| 释义 | 主租契 A lease between an owner of land and a tenant, where the tenant has granted a sublease to a third party. It is generally a term of sublease that a sublease must comply with the covenants of the headlease: Tang Yan Ah v Chan Kit Ching [1958] HKLR 7. If a headlease is being forfeited, a sublessee may apply to have the headlease vested in him or her for the rest of the term of the sublease: Sylvia Seto & Anor v Kowloon Shopping Centre Ltd & Ors [1980] HKLR 717 (HC).
