释义	人民解放軍 The military force of the People’s Republic of China. It is also stationed in the Hong Kong SAR for defence, and to maintain the sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of the State and the security of Hong Kong. It is composed of forces from the Army, the Navy and the Air Force of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, and is designated as the Hong Kong Garrison of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (referred to as the Hong Kong Garrison). The Hong Kong Garrison practices a system of rotation of its members. It is subject to the direction of the Central Military Commission of the People’s Republic of China. It performs defence functions and responsibilities: preparing against and resisting aggression, and safeguarding the security of the Hong Kong SAR; carrying out defence duties; controlling military facilities; and handling foreign-related military affairs. In the event that the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress decides to declare a state of war or, that the Hong Kong SAR is in a state of emergency, the Hong Kong Garrison shall perform its duties: Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Garrisoning of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. 中華人民共和國的軍力。人民解放軍亦有為國防、維持主權、統一及國家地區完整性及香港的安全的目的而駐守於香港特別行政區。人民解放軍由中國人民解放軍的陸軍、海軍及空軍組成，並指派為中國人民解放軍的駐港解放軍 (稱為駐港解放軍)。駐港解放軍實施成員交替的制度。駐港解放軍受制於中華人民共和國中央軍事委員會的指示。並履行國防的功能及責任：準備對抗及抗拒侵略、並保護香港特別行政區的安全；履行國防的任務；控制軍事設施；以及處理與外國有關的軍事任務。如全國人大常務委員會決定宣布處於戰爭狀態或香港特別行政區是於緊急的狀態，則駐港解放軍須履行其職務：《中華人民共和國香港特別行政區駐軍法》。
