For example, the ‘general cargo N.O.S. rates’ is a catchall classification applying to commodities for which no specific commodity rates are specified: American Export Isbrandtsen Lines Inc & Ors v Federal Maritime Commission & USA (US Ct) [1970] 1 Lloyd’s Rep 343. Also known as ‘not otherwise specified’.
