释义	季 1. A period of three months commencing on 1 January, 1 April, 1 July, or 1 October in any year. 2. An act of mercy, indulgence, or clemency accorded to a defenceless and surrendered belligerent soldier by sparing his or her life. It is unlawful to issue an order to accord ‘no quarter’ or ‘no survivors’: Protocol Additional to the Geneva Conventions of 12 August 1949, and relating to the Protection of Victims of International Armed Conflicts (Protocol I) 1977 art 40.
