| 释义 | 一天 1.The period of time taken by the earth to revolve once upon its axis through 360°. 2. A unit for measuring time. A day is normally 24 hours in length of time and commences at midnight. Qualifications may be added in particular contexts in order to limit the meaning of the term. For example, in the absence of an express stipulation, part of a day may count as a whole day: The Commercial Steamship Co v Boulton (1875) LR 10 QB 346. In some computations of relevant days, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays may be excluded. When the term is used in a charterparty, it may refer either to lay days or days on demurrage. 3. The period of time between sunrise and sunset.
