释义	學位課程 A course of study, determined by the requirements of a university’s internal statutes and regulations, the completion of which qualifies the student for admission to the status of graduate as a bachelor, master or doctor. The powers to confer degrees in Hong Kong are vested in universities and are governed by statutes: for example The University of Hong Kong Ordinance (Cap 1053) s 15. No person or school is permitted to award a degree to a person, or issue any document which could reasonably be taken as signifying the award of a degree to a person: Education Ordinance (Cap 279) s 86.
