| 释义 | 忠誠服務的職責 The overall duty of an employee to perform well and faithfully the work agreed in the contract of employment. The duty of faithful service comprises a number of more specific duties. These do not, however, necessarily exhaust the scope of duty: Secretary of State for Employment v Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen (No 2) [1972] 2 All ER 853, 2 QB 443. The specific duties include the duties of confidentiality, attendance at work, obedience, working with care and skill, and acting in the employer’s best interest. Breach of the duty of faithful service may be grounds for dismissal of the employee.
