The term is usually used in relation to a person (a garnishee) who is warned or required by a court order (a garnishee order) under The Rules of the High Court (Cap 4A) O 49 to pay a debt or part of the debt, which the person owed in favour of a judgment debtor, to a judgment creditor (a garnishor).
