释义 | 知識與同意 A requirement for the making of a valid will that protects testamentary freedom. In addition to having testamentary capacity, a testator must have knowledge and grant approval of the contents of his or her will at the time of its execution for it to be admitted to probate: Hastilow v Stobie (1865) LR 1 P & D 64; Ma Po Chim & Ors v Mar Lok Sham & Ors [1992] 2 HKLR 286 (HC). The testator must understand the general effect of the terms of the will, not the technical language or legal significance of every part of the document: Banks v Goodfellow (1870) LR 5 QB 549.
