释义 | 銀行商譽 Public confidence as to a bank’s credit and character. Any false accusation affecting a bank’s credit and injuring it by causing distrust and alarm is a wrong of a slanderous description for which the bank may recover damages: North and Scotland Banking Co v Duncan (1857) 19 D 880. It would also be defamatory of a bank to say in time of panic, that certain customers have withdrawn their accounts from it: Capital and Counties Bank Ltd v George Henty & Sons (1882) 7 AC 741.
