受益人 A person who, by being in a particular kind of legal (including equitable) relationship, receives or is to receive a benefit, profit, or advantage.
Banking and Finance - The person in whose favour a letter of credit is addressed.
Succession - A person who is entitled to receive the benefit of a testamentary disposition; a person having a beneficial interest in property; a person with an interest in a will or an intestate estate. It also includes a person who has received any sum of money or other property as a donatio mortis causa (a gift of personal property in anticipation of death) made by a deceased person: Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Ordinance (Cap 481). Trust - One who has the beneficial interest, or a right of substantial enjoyment or equitable interest under a trust, which may take the form of equitable proprietary interest in relation to the legal estate. Ownership of this kind is a right in rem, while a beneficiary’s remedy against a trustee is a right in personam.
