释义	文件正本 The actual written, physical, visual, or audio record of information. As a matter of general legal principle, the original of a document must be produced if its contents are to be relied upon; however, where the original document is out of the reach of a subpoena or witness summons, then secondary evidence of the document would be admissible and the party could choose to lead whichever kind of secondary evidence he chooses: R v Yip Keung [1997] HKLRD 208. Nevertheless, if it is a copy of a document which is sought to be put in by way of secondary evidence, then there must be no less than prima facie evidence that it is a true copy of the original in order for the copy to be admissible under the exception to the best evidence rule: R v Yip Keung, supra.
