Prison offences include escaping or aiding to escape from prison or legal custody (Prisons Ordinance (Cap 234) s 17), failure by prisoner to return after leave of absence (s 17A), introduction of unauthorized articles (for example, any fire-arm, ammunition, weapon, instrument, explosive, harmful or deleterious substance, intoxicating liquor, opium or other drug, tobacco, money, clothing, provisions, letter, paper or book) into prison (s 18), possession or introduction of prohibited articles by prison officers (s 18A), supplying unauthorized articles (for example, any intoxicating liquor, opium or other drug, tobacco) to prisoners (s 19).
