释义	死亡證明書 A certified and sealed copy of an entry of a death, given pursuant to the legislation: Death Registration (Special Registers) Ordinance (Cap 176) s 2. It means a certificate of registration of death or a coroner’s order issued under the Births and Deaths Registration Ordinance (Cap 174) s 17(1) or a certificate, declaration or coroner’s order issued or made under s 18: Public Funeral Halls Regulation (Cap 132BN) s 7. The death certificate is to be received as evidence of the death to which it relates, without any further or other proof of the entry: Births and Deaths Registration Ordinance (Cap 174) s 24(2). The Registrar of Births and Deaths can investigate the correctness of a death certificate: s 21. A coroner who is carrying out an investigation, or conducting a pre-inquest review or an inquest, into the death of a person may issue to a properly interested person who so requests, a certificate in the prescribed form under his hand and seal, recording the fact of that death, without prejudice to the provisions of the Births and Deaths Registration Ordinance: Coroners Ordinance (Cap 504) s 41.
