| 释义 | 重定償還債項期限 An arrangement between a country or company in financial difficulty and its creditors to adjust the terms of a loan contract. It usually involves lowered interest rates, longer maturities, deferred payment of principal, debt buy-back or debt-equity conversion. Rescheduling of the debts of the developing countries is often carried out together with structural adjustment programmes supervised by the International Monetary Fund which encourages debtor nations to pursue economic reform and allow greater participation by the private sector.
