| 释义 | 快速仲裁 An expedited arbitration process, designed to overcome the perceived length and formality of arbitrations. Under the provisions of the Arbitration Ordinance (Cap 341), the parties to the arbitration may agree to streamline or limit procedures in order to speed up the proceedings: for example, submissions may be written rather than oral, strict time limits may apply, the amount and type of expert or other evidence may be limited, the parties may forego legal representation, or the arbitrator may decide the matter ex aequo et bono (on the basis of what is just and fair) rather than by applying the appropriate laws. The parties may agree to adopt the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) Short Form Arbitration Rules or the HKIAC Small Claims Procedure.
