单词 Fare
The money paid by a passenger to a common or private carrier as consideration for the carriage of the passenger from the point of embarkation to the destination. A common carrier to whom the proper fare is tendered must carry any person who is fit for carriage. A ticket may be issued in return for the fare as evidence of the contract of carriage. The duty of care owed by a carrier to a passenger does not necessarily rest upon the payment of a fare, but extends to children and other passengers who travel for free, unless the free pass is granted on the condition that the passenger travels at his or her own risk. See also Carrier; Common carrier; Contract of carriage; Duty of care; Freight; Passenger; Private carrier; Ticket holding passenger.
Carrier; Common carrier; Contract of carriage; Duty of care; Freight; Passenger; Private carrier; Ticket holding passenger。n.
