| 释义 | 窒息 To impede the respiration of another. It is an offence to, by any means whatsoever, attempt to choke, suffocate, or strangle any other person, with intent thereby to enable himself or any other person to commit, or with intent thereby to assist any other person in committing: Offences against the Person Ordinance (Cap 212) s 20. An accused will be charged of murder if the victim dies as a result of suffocation: HKSAR v Yeung Ka Yee [2003] 2 HKC 540.
