| 释义 | 宜於道路上使用 The condition of a motor vehicle when it is fit to be lawfully operated on the highway. Traffic regulations set minimum standards for roadworthiness. If the condition of a vehicle is such that it falls below these standards, it will be unroadworthy and may not be used on a highway: Road Traffic (Construction and Maintenance of Vehicles) Regulations (Cap 374A). It is a duty of a person using a vehicle or causing or permitting another to use a vehicle to ensure that only vehicles which are roadworthy are used: Road Traffic (Construction and Maintenance of Vehicles) Regulations (Cap 374A); A-G v Wong Yuk Ming [1994] 2 HKC 720.
