| 释义 | 嚴重身體傷害 A term often used as a synonym for ‘grievous bodily harm’. At common law, ‘grievous bodily harm’ has been defined as ‘really serious bodily harm’, as in some factual situations the expression ‘serious bodily harm’ may mislead a jury into regarding the degree of harm which must be intended in order to constitute murder as less serious than the law actually requires: Director of Public Prosecutions v Smith [1961] AC 290, [1960] 3 All ER 161.
