释义	獨立使用 A doctrine developed by the courts of equity to overcome the common law rule that a married woman could not hold personal or real property independently of her husband and could not deal with property without her husband’s consent. Equity treated a woman who acquired property for her ‘separate use’ as if she was unmarried, allowing her to deal with and devise it. This and other common law rules restricting the rights of women to deal with property have been abolished: Married Persons Status Ordinance (Cap 182) ss 3(1)(a), 4. See also Feme sole. 由衡平法法院發展的原則，以遏止普通法已婚女性不可獨立持有其丈夫的個人財產或土地財產，並不可在沒有其丈夫同意下處理財產的規則。衡平法視取得財物作為「獨立使用」的女性猶如她未婚一樣，准予她處理及遺贈有關的財產。這與其他限制女性處理財物的普通法規則已被廢除：《已婚者地位條例》（第182章）第3(1)(a)及4條。另見 Feme sole。
