释义	篡改證據　Suppressing, concealing, destroying, altering, or falsifying evidence that is or may be required in a judicial proceeding. For example, if owing to the presence of a vehicle on a road an accident occurs in consequence of which any person is killed or seriously injured or serious damage is caused to any vehicle or thing, it is an offence for any person, without the authority of a police officer, to do any act to destroy, alter or conceal any evidence of the accident: Road Traffic Ordinance (Cap 374) s 57(1). A person commits an offence by wilfully altering, suppressing, concealing or destroying a document that such a person has been required by a notice or order to produce: Disability Discrimination Ordinance (Cap 487) s 68(5)(a). It amounts to attempting to pervert the course of justice if one tampers the evidence with intent to mislead the court.
