| 释义 | 曾孫兒女或外曾孫兒女 The child of a grandchild of a person. In Hong Kong, there is no direct provision for great-grandchildren of an intestate deceased regarding succession, as the word ‘issue’ is confined to child of valid marriage, adopted child, and child of a union of concubinage: Intestates’ Estates Ordinance (Cap 73) s 4, sch 1 para 2(2). However, if a great-grandchild could show that he or she had been wholly or substantially maintained by the deceased immediately before the deceased’s death, then he or she would be eligible to make a claim on the estate: Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Ordinance (Cap 481) s 3(1)(viii).
