| 释义 | 1955年海牙議定書 An agreement, reached at an international conference at The Hague in 1955 and signed on 28 September 1955, to make significant amendments to the International Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules relating to International Carriage by Air (Warsaw Convention) 1929. The amendments double the limitation on liability for damages for death or personal injury (Protocol (1955) amending the International Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules relating to International Carriage by Air 1929 art 11); simplify provisions relating to documents of carriage (arts 3-16); and provide for the circumstances under which a carrier is disentitled to avail itself of the provisions limiting its liability (art 22). The provisions disentitling a carrier to the benefits of limited liability where damage was caused by the carrier’s conduct were also simplified: art 13. The regime of the Warsaw Convention 1929 as amended by the Hague Protocol 1955 applies to international carriage by air occurring between Hong Kong. The Protocol came into force on 1 August 1963, being 90 days after it had been ratified by 30 states.
