| 释义 | 婚姻登記官 The officer responsible for keeping records of marriages. It is lawful for the Chief Executive to appoint from time to time such person as he may please to be a Registrar of Marriages, and to appoint deputy registrars of marriages: Marriage Ordinance (Cap 181) s 3(1). The Registrar is required to issue a certificate of marriage in the prescribed form on the request of either of the parties to the marriage, at any time not more than three months or less than 15 days after the giving of a notice of intention to marry: s 9(1). The Registrar must register all certificates of marriage filed in his office in such order and manner as he thinks best suited for easy reference thereto: s 23(1).
