Bad title |
Ownership rights that are defective and subject to defeat, or that are illusory. The concept of bad title is most often encountered with land under old system title, where errors in documentation, or missing documents in the required chain of title can result in an apparent title holder being held to have no title, or only a limited title. A condition limiting the time for requisitions or objections does not apply where the vendor’s title is wholly bad: Halsbury’s Laws of Hong Kong, Vol 16, Land [230.0210]. See also Chain of title; Defect in title; Good root of title; Title. Chain of title; Defect in title; Good root of title; Title。 |
