释义 | 條款 1. In general, any clause or provision in a contract. Terms are also described as clauses, stipulations, provisions, covenants, and obligations. Apart from the terms expressly stated in the contract, by reason of what the parties have written or said, implied terms may also exist to impose obligations on either or both of the parties or to qualify the terms of their bargain. 2. A contractual statement which amounts to an undertaking or guarantee by the marker of the statement, that it is true or that the maker had reasonable grounds for making it. Also known as ‘warranty’.
