| 释义 | 污染 1.Changes in the physical, chemical and biological characteristics of air, water or soil which can affect the health or survival of forms of life in an undesirable way; the direct or indirect alteration of the environment to its detriment or degradation. Pollution includes any contamination with any chemical or any other substance in such a quantity as to be injurious to human, animal or vegetable life: Mining Ordinance (Cap 285) s 2. Forms of pollution include air, water, land, noise and marine pollution. Pollution caused by humans which results in injury gives rise to an action in tort of negligence, private nuisance and the rule in Rylands v Fletcher (1868) LR 3 HL 330 (HL).
