释义	訴訟前通知 A notice or letter of a party’s intention to commerce proceedings against those whom the notice or letter is served. Such notice before the commencement of an action is not generally required. However, the notice should be served on the proposed defendant and its insurer not later than four months before the commencement of proceedings: Practice Direction No 18.1 on Personal Injury Cases. A pre-action notice must be sufficient to inform the proposed defendant(s) of the cause or nature of the action. See also Summons. 當事人意向的通知或信件﹐即欲開展法律程序針對通知或信件的收件人。在開始訴訟前通常不需要此通，但按照有關個人傷害案件的實務指示18.1號，應向建議被告人及其承保人送達通知，但不應遲過在法律程序開始前四個月。訴訟前通知必須能充份通知建議被告人有關訴訟的理由或性質。另見 Summons。
