| 释义 | 法官任期 The term of office of judges. In Hong Kong, the Chief Justice and permanent judges of the Court of Final Appeal have tenure of office until they attain the retiring age (65 years old): Court of Final Appeal Ordinance (Cap 484) s 14(1). However, their term of office may be extended for not more than two periods of three years: s 14(2). Non-permanent judges of the Court of Final Appeal hold office for a term of three years but that term may be extended for one or more periods of three years by the Chief Executive: s 14(4). Judges of the High Court (other than recorders and deputy judges) also have tenure of office until they attain the retiring age (65 years old): High Court Ordinance (Cap 4) s 11A. Their term of office may also be extended: s 11A(2), (3).
