单词 Back-to-back
释义 背靠形式/對開
Matching or corresponding; mutually converse. 1.Back-to-back credits are sometimes called counter-credits. A back-to-back credit involves two separate letters of credit. A seller receives a letter of credit from his own buyer (the primary credit). The seller subsequently advises a letter of credit to be issued to his own supplier (the secondary credit) against the primary credit. The seller is the beneficiary under the primary credit but the applicant under the secondary credit. The buyer is the applicant under the primary credit. The supplier is the beneficiary under the secondary credit. The primary and secondary credits are said to be ‘back-to-back’. 2. A description of loan arrangements, that is, the offsetting of a loan in one currency in one country against another loan in another currency in another country. It involves the matching of assets and liabilities of two or more parties in opposite directions. 3. In the futures market, the holding of an equal number of bought and sold contracts by a trader in one month. See also Credit; Futures Contract; Letter of Credit; Parallel loan.
