释义	火險 A policy which indemnifies the insured against loss or damage of property caused by fire. The protection under such policy normally extends to losses caused by events which are frequently the cause of fire as well as events other than fire such as lightning and explosion. Generally, the cause of fire is immaterial unless the fire was deliberately lit by the insured or a third party with the knowledge or the authority of the insured (Harris v Poland [1941] 1 KB 462) or the fire was caused by an excepted peril (Re Hooley Hill Rubber & Chemical Co Ltd & Royal Insurance Co Ltd [1920] 1 KB 257.
