释义	移民／移居 1. Entering a country for temporary or permanent purpose. 2. In general usage, the government’s control over persons entering a territory. In Hong Kong, immigration is primarily controlled by the immigration pursuant to the Immigration Ordinance (Cap 115) through a range of visas. Hong Kong has a system of total immigration control by which all ‘immigrant’ in Hong Kong must have a valid visa to remain, without which they are subject to compulsory detention and removal. A valid visa is usually subject to conditions of stay imposed by the immigration authority: s 11. Breach of which is a criminal offence: s 41.
