| 释义 | 火災損毀 Harm to chattels or immovable property as a consequence of fire. At common law, liability for fires may arise in an action for nuisance and negligence: Goldman v Hargrave & Ors [1966] 2 All ER 989, [1967] 1 AC 645 (PC); Musgrove v Pandelis [1919] 2 KB 43 (CA); Ogwo v Taylor [1987] 1 All ER 668, 2 WLR 988 (CA). Common law defences consisted of act of a stranger, act of God, consent of plaintiff, statutory authority and default of plaintiff.
