| 释义 | 未成年人的婚姻 The marriage of a person who is under 16 years of age. A marriage involving a person under 16 of age renders the marriage invalid: Marriage Ordinance (Cap 181) s 27. If either party to an intended marriage is of or over 16 and under 21 years of age, the written consent of the relevant person or persons (that is, parents or guardian) specified in the Marriage Ordinance (Cap 181) sch 3 must be produced to the Registrar before he issues a certificate of marriage or to the Chief Executive before he grants a licence: Marriage Ordinance (Cap 181) s 14(1). If that consent is not given, the minor may apply to the court for a District judge’s consent to be given in its place: s 18A(1). The court will only make this order if satisfied that the minor is unable to obtain such consent from both of his parents: s 18A(1A).
