| 释义 | 指示提單 A bill of exchange which is expressed to be payable to order (for example, ‘pay Smith or order’), or expressed to be payable to a particular person, and does not contain words prohibiting transfer or indicating an intention that it should not be transferable (for example, ‘pay Smith’): Bills of Exchange Ordinance (Cap 19) s 8(4). Where a bill, either originally or by indorsement, is expressed to be payable to the order of a specified person (for example, ‘pay to the order of Smith’), and not to him or his order (for example, ‘pay to Smith or order’) it is nevertheless payable to him or his order at his option: s 8(5).
